Lady and Gentlemen Golfers are warmly welcomed throughout the year and are invited to take the opportunity to play one of the courses selected to be a Regional Qualifier for the Open Championship from 2013. It comprises a 6,683 yard challenge designed by Harry Colt and James Braid. All 18 holes are of a level, heathland nature with the firm, fast greens a particular feature, all strategically protected by bunkers.
The Northumberland Golf Club and the Gosforth Park Ladies' Golf Club are members' clubs situated in the pleasant surroundings of Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne close to the A1. It has a much deserved reputation as a course of exceptional quality and is regarded as one of the finest in the North of England. Gosforth Park and its Nature Reserve surround the course. Deer are spotted regularly and other wildlife adds to its attraction.
The Northumberland Golf Club is proud to have hosted many major events, both professional and amateur. These include the Dunlop Masters, the English Amateur championship, the British Youths Championship, The Commonwealth Ladies Tournament and most recently (in 2004) the English Boys Open Strokeplay Championship.

- Summer (1 April - 31 October) £50 per round (£60 per day)

Visiting Parties
- Large visiting Parties can have a fully personalised package according to their requirements including their own bar and lounge facilities. We can also provide a half way house bar/snack facility. The bar and dining facilities can be tailored to your requirements following discussions with our Secretary
Booking
- It is essential to book prior to your visit, so please contact our Secretary
Buggies
- Conventional two person buggies are available for hire.
- Single person buggies are also permitted subject to obtaining prior permission.
GOLF SUPPLIES
- We stock golf balls, gloves, tees etc behind the bar and in the Secretary’s office.

CLUBHOUSE FACILITIES
In the Clubhouse, our excellent lounge and dining facilities provide spacious and comfortable areas both before and after your round. At lunchtime, sandwiches are available in the Main Lounge whilst meals are available in the Dining Room. After your round you can have one of our Golfers Suppers which are ordered before play.

CHANGING FACILITIES
We have excellent changing room facilities for both men and ladies. Clothes rails are available as well as lockable kit bag lockers for valuables. Towels, hair driers and brushes are available to complement our excellent showers.
ON THE COURSE
Dress Code
Normal, smart golf clothing is expected with shirts tucked in. White socks are expected when shorts are worn. For full details see the Dress Code page.
Mobile Phones
Mobile phones may be used in the car park and may be carried on the course for emergency use but must remain switched off - they are not allowed in the Clubhouse or on the terrace in any circumstances.
