Gosforth Park Ladies' Golf Club – (also known as GPLGC) was formed in 1923 and has its home at The Northumberland Golf Club in High Gosforth Park, Newcastle upon Tyne.  It is a friendly, forward-looking club for lady golfers of all standards.  The ladies share the excellent course and club house facilities with their fellow male members of NGC and enjoy the competitive and social aspects that this club provides.

The ladies have 2 Shield Divisional Teams and compete in both the TR and Norah Percy knock-out competitions.

GPLGC welcomes new members and offers a Taster Package for those who are beginning their interest in golf. We also welcome non- playing ladies as social members.

The club is available for visiting ladies parties and club outings and offers excellent catering facilities.

Duty Officers for the Season 2012

The Duty officer from 1st November 2011 to 6th March 2012 is Pat Spong.

In an effort to make committee duties more flexible during the main playing season, there will not be a month by month duty officer list.  The Duty Officer for each week will be shown at the top of each competition entry sheet which go up on the Notice Board 4 weeks in advance and on the website.  A list of Duty Officers covering 6 weeks at a time will be available on the website and on the Notice Board.  Any changes will be on the website.  It is each players responsibility to know who the Duty Officer is for each week.

Course Record

Nicola Haynes is the current holder of the course record previously set by Julie Ross in 2006.  We are very proud that Nicola is a GPLGC home player and at the age of 14 set the record with a splendid gross 72 in the Junior Competition on Thursday 12 August 2010.
